Why I Created Bijou By You Jewellery

If you know me, you know I’m probably the hardest person to shop for. I don’t care for labels, brands, or material things – what truly matters to me is sentiment and meaning. I’ve always loved jewellery, but I began to notice something: once I took a piece off, it often stayed off. The problem wasn’t that the jewellery wasn’t beautiful – it was that it didn’t feel personal enough. It didn’t carry a deeper significance or tell a story. It was just an accessory.

I wanted more from my jewellery. I needed it to embody something real – something that spoke to my heart, that I could wear with pride, and that would remind me of what matters most. That’s when the idea for Bijou By You was born.

The inspiration behind it came from the tragic loss of my brother, Ali. I was searching for a way to keep his memory alive, not just for me, but for those who loved him too. I designed and gifted bracelets to our closest friends and family, and I watched as they wore them, as tears were shared, and as the meaning behind each piece became so much more than just a gift. It became a symbol of love, of loss, and of remembrance. It was in that moment that I knew I had to share this gift of love—a way to hold onto the connection past and present.

Whether you’ve experienced the pain of losing someone or are lucky enough to have your loved ones still by your side, this jewellery is more than an adornment – it’s a piece of your story, a reminder of love, and a tribute to what truly matters. Each piece is designed to carry meaning, to embody memories, and to remind you that the most precious things in life are the ones we carry with us, always.

Missing you always & forever Ali x
